Abstract We present a performance test of the point-spread function (PSF) deconvolution algorithm applied to astronomical integral field unit (IFU) spectroscopy data for restoration galaxy kinematics. deconvolve IFU by applying Lucy–Richardson 2D image slice at each wavelength. demonstrate that can effectively recover true stellar kinematics galaxy, using mock with diverse combination surface brightness profile, signal-to-noise ratio, line-of-sight geometry, and velocity distribution (LOSVD). In addition, we show proxy spin parameter λ R e be accurately measured from deconvolved data. apply actual SDSS-IV MaNGA survey The LOSVD, exhibit noticeable differences compared ones original method any other regular-grid extract PSF-deconvolved spatial information.
